Happy Meal

So I have this stuffed animal bear on my desk at work that my brother got me for my birthday i think two years ago and it's really soft and he got it at old navy and so i keep it on my desk at work because it's playful and cute and then just recently a secret person at work has been visiting mcdonalds and getting happy meals and in the mcdonalds happy meals these days they are giving out these little mini stuffed animal bears that have clothes that you put on them and so every now and then i get to my desk at work and there's a couple more of these bears that someone has dropped off for me and i have no idea who this person is or where they come from or why in the world they decided that i need them, but i always unwrap them and dress them in whatever clothes they have for them to wear and i sit them on my desk next to the big bear than my brother got me and so i've grown them into a cute little bear family and there is the big daddy bear and he now has four little baby bears that have swimming suits and shirts on and they sit on him and crawl all over him on the shelf above my computer at my desk at work.

The Probable Future

Love was never a mistake even when it wasn't returned. It was not unlike the phlox in Catherine Avery's garden, untended, ignored, but there all the same.

growing up

i just read TJ's most recent post. his heart is with high school. my growing heart is with them once they leave high school.

take the ones that actually survive and grow a bit in that knowledge and love and help it thrive once they are out of the dark world that is high school. once they move on to a place where things look a bit brighter and help those fledgling wings build strength. take that desperation that's turned to momentum and give it direction and courage. take the knowledge and put it to use in a practical and exciting way. it'll be different for each one. so many options and possibilities with only one common thread. the desire for more.
